N836D left the Douglas Aircraft Santa Monica
plant in October 1958 and delivered to Eastern Airlines. It flew
passengers with eastern from 1958 to 1968, when it was sold to a travel club.
The travel club used it for 5 years until it parked in 1972 at the St. Paul
Airport in Minnesota. Legendary Airliners purchased the aircraft in
November, 2003, and will restore it to the original Eastern Airlines
